I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida where I spent much of my life on the water. I became interested in organic chemistry during high school and earned my B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Florida in Gainesville. During my research in the lab of Prof. Alexander Grenning, I developed a method to construct vicinal 4°/3° carbon centers via a reductive Cope rearrangement. I love good beer and am an excellent cook and baker; most of my free time is spent in the kitchen. I also enjoy hiking and spending time in nature.
