I was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois and am currently a senior pursuing a B.S. degree in chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I began my research in organic chemistry in Prof. David Sarlah’s group, where I studied the application of new phosphines in the Mitsunobu reaction. I then completed an internship at Eli Lilly in the summer of 2020, during which time I studied epimerization in solution-phase peptide coupling. In 2021, I joined the Denmark group to study chemoinformatics-driven catalyst optimization. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, cooking, and (dreaming about) skiing.
